Question
I keep on getting the following error message on my Samsung S9 phone. A little cycling down arrow appears and the message associated with it is Downloading English (US) Update. Waiting for network connection. I have select the Do not auto-update languages for Offline speech recognition. This works for a short time and then the error message comes back. How do I stop it permanently?
Solution

Step 2: Scroll down and tap on the Google option.
Step 3: Tap on the Settings for Google apps option to manage the Google Speech Services app.
Step 4: Select the Search, Assistant & Voice option to manage the Google Speech Services app.
Step 5: Tap on the Voice option to manage it.
Step 6: Tap on the Offline speech recognition setting to manage your languages.
Step 7: Switch to the AUTO-UPDATE tab.
Step 8: Tap on the Auto-update languages over Wi-Fi only option.
