Windows 10 update failed with error code 0xc0020036. The detail error message as below:
The product key you entered didn’t work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. (0xc0020036)
In order to resolve this error, make sure the Windows services mentioned below are running.
Step 1: Press Windows + R keys together to open the Run dialogue box.
Step 2: Type services.msc and press Enter key to open the Service Manager.
Step 3: Locate the following Windows services are running:
- Windows Update (wuauserv)
- DCOM Server Process Launcher (DcomLaunch)
- RPC Endpoint Mapper (RpcEptMapper)
