Due to information stored on the device that needs to be refreshed, Netflix user will see the error code tvq-pb-101 (2.8), accompanied by the following message:

We’re having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title.

Follow troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue error code tvq-pb-101 (2.8).

Solution 1: Sign out from Netflix

  1. Go to Netflix home screen.
  2. Open the Menu.
  3. Scroll up or down to locate the Menu Row, then select the gear icon on the right.
  4. Select Settings > Sign Out > Yes to confirm.
  5. Sign back in and try Netflix again.

Solution 2: Restart set-top-Box or Streaming Media Player

  1. Unplug the device from power for at least 1 minute.
  2. While the device is unplugged, press the power button on the device to discharge it or leave it unplugged for at least 3 minutes.
  3. Plug the device back in and turn on.
  4. Try Netflix again.

Solution 3: Restart smart TV

  1. Unplug smart TV from power for at least 1 minute.
  2. While your smart TV is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the TV for 5 seconds to discharge it or leave it unplugged for at least 3 minutes.
  3. Plug smart TV back in and turn on.
  4. Try Netflix again.
