Question
If you have installed too many Add-ons on Kodi app but most of them aren’t working or you are facing some technical issue such as performance, buffering, or run out of storage space issue while streaming media, then you should immediately delete them.
In this article, I will show you how to uninstall Kodi builds or Addons for various devices like Amazon Firestick, Fire TV Cube, Windows, Mac, Linux or any other Kodi supported device.
Solution 1: Uninstall Kodi add-ons
Step 1: Launch the Kodi app on your device.
Step 2: From the Kodi Home screen, click the Add-ons option located in left side menu.
Step 3: Click on Package Installer (box shape) icon located beside the Settings icon.
Step 4: Click on the My add-ons option from the list of Add-ons / Add-on browser.
Step 5: Click the All folder to display the list of All Add-ons installed on the device.
Step 6: Scroll down and select the Add-on you like to uninstall.
Step 7: Click on the Uninstall button.
Step 8: Click the Yes button to proceed to uninstall the add-on.
Step 9: Click the Yes button to proceed to remove all related data of this add-on.
Solution 2: Uninstall Kodi add-ons
Step 1: Launch the Kodi app on your device.
Step 2: From the Kodi Home screen, click the Add-ons option located in left side menu.
Step 3: Click on the Video add-ons option or any other category from the list of Add-ons / Add-on browser.
Step 4: Highlight any of the Add-on that you like to uninstall, right-click on it (for Firestick, press and hold the select button for a few seconds), then click on the Information option from the context menu.
Step 5: Click on the Uninstall button.
Step 6: Click the Yes button to proceed to uninstall the add-on.
Step 7: Click the Yes button to proceed to remove all related data of this add-on.
Solution 1: Remove Kodi addons data and cache
Some of the Kodi add-ons cache and data files will remains in Kodi directory even after uninstall it. Follow below steps to remove those left-over add-ons data or cache files:
Step 1: Click the Settings icon on the Kodi Home screen.
Step 2: Go to the Media section.
Step 3: From the left-panel, change the Basic to Advanced or Expert.
Step 4: Select the General option from the left panel.
Step 5: From the right-side pane, enable Show hidden files and directories under Files section.
Step 6: Go back to the Settings screen.
Step 7: Open the File Manager.
Step 8: Open the Profile Directory.
Step 9: Right-click on the addon_data folder and then select the Delete option from the context menu.
Step 10: Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion process.
Step 11: Restart the Kodi app.
