As stated in the T-Mobile’s privacy policy, T-Mobile collects a lot of customer data including web and device usage data such as information about your interests, preferences, or behaviors, mobile device identifiers, device and service usage data, and demographics information. T-Mobile may also buy or get personal data from other third parties, like social media platforms, analytics providers, and consumer data resellers. In other words, the mobile provider will share that customer data with third-party advertising partners.
The steps describe in this article guide you how to instruct T-Mobile to not use your web usage data for advertising purposes.
Step 1: You need to sign up for T-Mobile ID. Skip this step if you already have the T-Mobile ID.
Step 2: Log in to T-Mobile Account using your T-Mobile ID.
Step 3: Go to My account > Profile > Privacy and Notifications > Advertising & Analytics.
Step 4: Toggle off the option for Use my data for analytics and reporting.
Step 5: Toggle off the option for Use my data to make ads more relevant to me.
Toggle off both options should opt out the T-Mobile’s data sharing program
