Starting May 15, 2026, the Resource Assignment tab in Microsoft Project will be deprecated. This tab represents a legacy experience and will no longer be supported.
How does this affect me?
For existing installations, this tab will still be enabled but highlighting this as deprecated. Any new installations it will be disabled by default. It will not receive further updates or support from the product.
This tab can be enabled or disabled via the feature control until September 2026. Following this date, it will be completely deprecated and removed.
Please review and migrate any customizations on this tab, as they will be lost once the tab is removed in September of 2026.
What action do I need to take?
To view resource assignments, use the Tasks tab, and then navigate to Assignments. This is the supported and recommended experience for viewing assignments in Dynamics 365 Project Operations.
