Note: Don’t back up iPhone to iCloud if the most current Backup consists of deleted messages. This will result in overwriting of old Backup with a new one which won’t consist of those deleted text messages.

Perform below steps to restore text messages from iCloud backup:

Warning: If you restore iPhone to an earlier point in time, it may result in the loss of any changes made after that specified time period. The lost items include new messages, videos, pictures, notes, and many more things.

Step 1: On iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings > Erase Now.

Step 1: Disable automatic syncing from iTunes on computer. Go to Edit > Settings > select your device and check the Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically option.

Step 2: Connect iPhone to PC and give it some time.

Step 3: Click on the Restore backup… option if your latest backup includes your messages.

Step 4: Allow the content to download into iPhone; it may take time depending on the size of the data.
