Solved: How to upgrade Windows 10 evaluation to full version with product key bypass

Problem Symptom: Microsoft does not support converting the evaluation version of Windows to a fully licensed version of the enterprise edition of Windows. Even if you execute the setup installer using the ISO image of the enterprise edition of Windows 10, it will prompt the error and not allow you to proceed.

Follow the below solution steps to bypass the product key enter screen and lets you upgrade Windows 10 evaluation edition to the Windows 10 full version directly without losing your existing files, folder, all installed apps, and settings. The method described below is valid for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Enterprise and Professional edition.

Step 1: Press Windows key + R to open a Run box.

Step 2: Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor. If the UAC (User Account Control) prompt, click Yes to grant admin access.

Step 3: Navigate to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Step 4: Look for EditionID registry key. Double-click on it and change the value data from EnterpriseEval to Enterprise.

Step 5: Look for ProductName registry key. Double-click on it and change the value data from Windows 10 Enterprise Evaluation to Windows 10 Enterprise.

Step 6: Insert the Windows 10 ISO image download from Microsoft’s official website and perform the in-place upgrade as per normal.

Step 7: After the upgrade, it is possible to activate the upgraded OS using regular KMS server or MAK key.
