Potential Causes

  • Overheating.
  • Run out of storage space.
  • Corrupted cache or configuration data caused Google related app or background service to fail.
  • Connectivity issue.
  • Outdated app.
  • Prominent app being disabled

Pre-check

  • Restart the phone.
  • Uninstall software, app or update that recently installed.
  • Check the Internet connectivity.

Solution 1: Verify Google related app enabled

Step 1: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications.

Step 2: Swipe left until you find the All tab.

Step 3: Scroll down to find the Chrome app and tap on it. If you don’t see it, tap on the See all apps option.

Step 4: Make sure it is not being disabled.

Step 5: Repeat the same steps to check for Google Play services, Google Play Store, and Android Webview or Android System Webview.

Step 6: Restart the phone.

Solution 2: Force stop Google app

Step 1: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications.

Step 2: Swipe left until you find the All tab.

Step 3: Scroll down to find the Google app and tap on it. If you don’t see it, tap on the See all apps option.

Step 1: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications.

Step 2: Swipe left until you find the All tab.

Step 3: Scroll down to find the Google app and tap on it. If you don’t see it, tap on the See all apps option.

Step 5: Tap on the Clear Cache option to delete temporary data.

Step 6: Tap on the Clear Data or Clear Storage option to delete all app data permanently.

Step 1: Open the Google Play Store.

Step 2: Search for the Google.

Step 5: Tap on the Uninstall updates option.

Step 1: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications.

Step 2: Swipe left until you find the All tab.

Step 3: Scroll down to find the Google app and tap on it. If you don’t see it, tap on the See all apps option.
