We’re rolling out an update for exact data match (EDM) sensitive information types (SITs) that will enable organizations to configure EDM SITs to include more primary fields. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 98094.
Organizations will be able to configure Exact Data Match (EDM) Sensitive Information Types (SITs) to include up to 10 primary fields (current limit is 5), providing customers more flexibility in configuring EDM.
When this will happen
Rollout will begin in mid-September and is expected to be complete by late September.
How this will affect your organization
Currently, exact data match can be configured to include 5 primary fields. With this update, this will increase to 10 primary (searchable or indexed) fields, enabling organizations to have more flexibility in configuring EDM SITs.
