When a Teams meeting or event has green room enabled and a Teams Rooms on Android joins the meeting/event as an organizer, people in the room will have access to the private chat for presenters that appears as a separate chat tab on the meeting chat pane. The chat tab is labelled “Event group” for events and “Planning group” for meetings. Presenters can use this private chat for backstage coordination. Users in the room can also switch to a separate chat that is shared by both presenters and attendees. This feature is available in Teams Rooms Pro licensed rooms.
Rollout Schedule
- Public Preview (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in late August 2025 and expect to complete by mid November 2026.
