We are announcing an update to currency accounting that ensures that currencies that differ from your base currency will include the correct label in Dynamics 365 Project Operations. This change will reach general availability on September 30, 2026.
How does this affect me?
This change allows different currency units to show the actual record for the accounting currency when the unit differs from the base currency. Currently, the correct value is shown, but the units are incorrectly labeled as the base currency, regardless of the actual accounting currency unit. In this feature, accounting currency fields are stored in a child record with the correct currency unit and appear with the correct label on the actual form.
What action do I need to take?
This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
For more information on this change, see Show accounting currency with the correct label.
