We are announcing the ability to customize the task details pane in Dynamics 365 Project Operations. This feature will reach general availability on September 30, 2026.
How does this affect me?
Users will be able to open a customizable task pane from the task grid by selecting the i icon next to a task name. The pane will allow users to customize task fields and trigger business flows directly from the task grid. Users will also be able to access the standard Project task pane through the overflow menu. Please note, this pane is part of Microsoft Project for the web and is embedded in an frame that makes it non-customizable.
What action do I need to take?
To use this feature, a tenant admin must enable the feature flag for each environment in Project Parameters.
