Infiltrating an Imperial base sounds like a daunting task, right? With a bit of stealth and some clever maneuvering, you’ll be able to navigate this sprawling military complex and reach your Rodian friend in no time.
How to Complete The Droidsmith Quest
First things first, let’s locate that Imperial base. You’ll find it on the northwest side of Akiva’s map. To get inside, keep an eye out for a vent on the west side of the building. Watch out for that pesky viper droid patrolling the area, and use the tall grass to stay hidden.
Once you’re in, follow these steps:
- Take out the officer to your left and climb the stairs.
- Spot the two stormtroopers on guard duty.
- Sic Nix on one while you handle the other.
- Help Nix finish the job, then climb the ladder and slip into the vent.
How to Find Gedeek
Emerging from the vent, you’ll find yourself in an empty room. The adjacent chamber is where the real action is, with soldiers and officers milling about.
- Knock out the two officers on the left.
- Ignore the guards and the other officer, and head through the door on the left.
- In the next room, team up with Nix to take down the troopers.
- Dodge the camera and enter the left chamber.
- Deal with the officer inside and hack the computer to disable the camera.
- Stick to the left side of the next chamber, take out the officers, and hop into the turbo-lift.
Now, you might be thinking, “Gedeek must be close by now!” Well, not quite. He’s still deep within the base. But don’t lose heart! Grab the loot from the locked chest in the next room, and press on.
- Crawl into the vent on the left and drop down.
- Use your hook to reach the lower platform.
- Navigate the grates and railings to the next area.
- Find another vent, drop in, and voila! You’re in an open area.
How to Disable the Turret
Here’s where things get tricky. Gedeek is nearby, but there’s a pesky turret blocking your path. The game doesn’t make it super obvious, but here’s what you need to do:
- Use the obstacles as cover and head left.
- Drop down and have Nix power off the barrier.
- Take the lift and pull the lever to move the box.
- Get Nix to pull the lever again, then hop on the box, staying out of the turret’s line of fire.
- Access the computer to shut down the turret.
- Jump down to the open area and take the turbo-lift.
