Securing Snapchat on a Samsung? It’s simple but powerful. Samsung’s Secure Folder creates a private, locked space on your device—no need to download another app. Here’s how to do it step-by-step.
Why Use Secure Folder?
Secure Folder is like a vault. It’s hidden and protected by a unique PIN, password, or even fingerprint, so only you can open it. Here’s how to set it up.
Setting Up Secure Folder on Samsung Phone
- Tap Settings > Biometrics & security > Secure Folder.
- Tap Continue, and sign in to your Samsung account.
- Pick one of these lock type:
- Pattern
- PIN
- Password
- Fingerprint
- Set it up, and now you have your Secure Folder ready.
- Open Secure Folder and tap the Add button.
- Find Snapchat in the app list and tap Add. This installs a second Snapchat version within Secure Folder, separate from the one on your home screen.
- Log in to this version in Secure Folder.
- Remove the Original Snapchat from your home screen for added privacy.
Now, only the Snapchat in Secure Folder remains, hidden and secured.
Every time you want to use Snapchat, tap the Secure Folder version. Enter your lock type (PIN, password, fingerprint) to open it. This setup doesn’t only make your phone more private but also protects your app usage—ideal if you value privacy or share your phone.
