Where Can You Find Secateurs in Brighter Shores?

Brighter Shores, Andrew Gower’s latest creation, offers a whole new world for fans of Runescape. Familiar professions like Chef and Fisher return, but there’s a twist with unique paths like Minefighter and Watchperson. If you’re a fan of mastering new skills, this game’s got you hooked with hours of exploration. But today, let’s talk about the Forager—a profession where you gather rare materials across the landscape. And to really get started, you’ll need secateurs. They’re your very first tool, a must for any serious Forager.

At Forager level 2, head over to the Forager’s Warehouse on Old Street East. Look for Ella, she’s got the secateurs you need. You’ll need 13 silver and 200 copper. It’s a bit pricey, especially if you’re just starting out, but it’s worth every coin. If you’re broke, don’t worry—there’s a way around that.

One easy trick to earn money early? Become a Chef and flip a few Bacon Sandwiches. Buy Bread and Raw Bacon from Kevin’s Ingredients on Stone Street, just outside the Training Grounds. Cook it up next door at The Delectable Dab, then sell your Bacon Sandwich to the Head Chef for a profit. With each sale, you get a small bump in your Chef skills, too.

Why Do You Need Secateurs in Brighter Shores?

Secateurs are crucial for gathering certain plants and materials that are essential for crafting high-level potions. When you’re at Forager level 2, secateurs will let you collect creamy wallplants, which Alchemists use to brew 20% Healing Potions. And later on, at level 4, they’re needed to gather White Periwinkles, a key ingredient in making Hopeport Experience potions.

Without secateurs, you’re going to miss out on the best items the Forager profession offers.
