What’s the Best Strategy to handle Wandering Wight Boss in Black Myth Wukong?

In Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll face several bosses early on that seem designed to be beaten immediately. However, there’s one boss you should avoid defeating until later in the game: the Wandering Wight.

The Wandering Wight is a formidable blue troll-like creature found in the Forest of Wolves. Despite its calm smile, it packs a powerful punch. To progress, you need to get past the Wandering Wight, but you don’t have to defeat it.

Here’s why you need to get past the Wandering Wight?

  • The Wandering Wight drops a spirit upon defeat, which you can’t absorb until you obtain the Blessed Gourd.
  • You unlock the Blessed Gourd only after defeating a few more bosses in the game.

What should you do when you encounter the Wandering Wight?

  • Simply run past it and follow the narrow path to the next area.
  • Battle and defeat the boss named Lingxuzi.
  • Progress through the temple to reach the Bamboo Grove in Black Wind Mountain.
  • Find the Snake Trail and climb the stairs to meet the Gourd Master.
  • Obtain the Blessed Gourd from the Gourd Master.

Obtain the Blessed Gourd from the Gourd Master.

Once you have the Blessed Gourd, you can return to defeat the Wandering Wight and absorb its spirit, which provides valuable bonuses to your character. If you’ve already beaten the Wandering Wight without the Blessed Gourd, don’t worry – you can still collect the spirit from a Keeper’s Shrine.

By strategically avoiding the Wandering Wight until you have the necessary item, you’ll have a smoother, more rewarding experience in Black Myth: Wukong.
