Stuck in Black Ops 6 Zombies? Here’s How to Research Augments for Maximum Power!

In Black Ops 6 Zombies, it’s all about surviving the endless hordes, and if you want to stay alive longer, you’ll need to mess with augments. Perks, ammo mods, and field upgrades all have their own augments that you can research to make your weapons and defenses stronger. You’ve got to put in some work first.

Stuck in Black Ops 6 Zombies? Here's How to Research Augments for Maximum Power!

You can research three types of augments: Perks, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades. Each of these boosts some part of your gear or abilities. For example, if you want your armor to take more hits before it breaks, you’ll need to tweak the damage mitigation on it.

Pick one and start grinding. Let’s say you want to upgrade Stamina Up. You’ll find that it’s the first perk available for research. It won’t be as easy as just selecting it. You need to unlock a set number of augments before you can even begin your research. For Stamina Up, that means unlocking six augments before it lets you roll up your sleeves.

It’s just about getting in the game, earning XP, and making sure you’ve selected the right augment. Right now, I’ve got Dead Wire unlocked for ammo mods, and Energy Mine for field upgrades. Energy Mine has a little tick next to it, meaning I’ve already done a little work there. But let’s focus on Stamina Up for now.

Once you’ve picked an augment, you don’t have to do anything extra. There’s no complicated setup. You just play, and XP will flow in naturally. The minor augment for Stamina Up is called “Hard Target,” and it’ll give you a solid boost. The exact effect is listed right below, so you know what to expect once the research kicks in.

I took a break and jumped into a match on Liberty Falls. I wasn’t worried about surviving too long at first; I just needed to grind out some XP. I got to round 8, spent a bunch of points, then let the zombies take me down. You know, classic zombie stuff. After I died, I jumped back to the augment screen. And guess what? My progress bar had moved a little bit. The XP is slow but steady. The more rounds you play, the faster the research fills up.

Remember, you can only work on one augment at a time. That’s it—no switching between perks, ammo mods, and field upgrades while you research. Pick what you want to focus on, then go after it.

So, what’s the takeaway? Don’t stress about the research. It’s not hard, it just takes time. Pick your augment, earn XP, and eventually, you’ll have a stronger character ready to take on the next wave of zombies.
