How to Fix Origin Client for Windows or macOS No Response or Won’t Open After Launches?

Origin Client for Windows or Mac show no response or not launches at all, the program runs in the background show in the task manager. Follow below solutions to resolve Origin client for Windows or Mac no response issue.

Solution 1: End Task Origin Process

If origin updater is updating origin client at backend, then trying to run origin client while it is updating causes the Origin client to not respond.

  1. Right click taskbar and select task manager.
  2. Look for Origin application in Process tab.
  3. Right click on Origin application and select End Task.

Solution 2: Delete Origin Cache Files

  1. Close Origin client if it is running.
  2. Press Windows + R key, type %ProgramData% into Run dialog box and press Enter.
  3. In the ProgramData folder open Origin folder.
  4. Delete all files and folders except LocalContent folder.

Solution 3: Delete Origin Temporary Files in AppData Folder

  1. In the search box on taskbar type folder, then select Show hidden files and folders from the results.
  2. Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders and drives then click OK.
  3. Press Windows + R keys,type %AppData% and press Enter.
  4. Delete Origin folders located in both Local and Roaming folder.

Solution 4: Reinstall Origin Client

  1. Press Windows + R keys, type control panel and then press Enter.
  2. Click Uninstall a program.
  3. Locate the Origin client in the list and right click on it then click Uninstall.
  4. Download the latest version of Origin Client for Windows or Mac then run the installation.
