This article will show you how to uninstall Kodi builds using two effective methods. The first method is using an Add-on called Fresh Start; the second method will change the Skin of Kodi and then uninstall it using the same method.
Solution: Uninstall Kodi build using Fresh Start add-on
Uninstall Kodi build using Fresh Start add-on is highly recommended because Fresh Start will restore everything including all caches, thumbnails, icons or files created by Add-ons or Builds.
Step 1: Select the Settings icon on the FireStick Home screen.
Step 2: Open the File Manager.
Step 3: Click on the Add Source folder.
Step 4: Click the <None> option in the Add file source box.
Step 5: Add the source URL as http://dimitrology.com/repo and type Fresh as the name. Click on the OK button.
Step 6: From the Kodi Home screen, click the Add-ons option located in left side menu.
Step 7: Click on the Install from zip file button listed in Categories.
Step 8: Locate the folder called Fresh that you typed in the previous step and select it.
Step 9: Scroll down and select plugin.video.fresh-start-x.x.zip.
Note: x.x.zip is the version number.
Step 10: Wait until you see the Addon installed notification, then go to the Add-ons section again.
Step 11: Scroll down and click on the Fresh Start add-on.
Step 12: It you will be asked if you like to restore Kodi to default settings, click on the Yes button to proceed.
Step 13: Click on the OK button to restart the Kodi app.
Solution: Uninstall Kodi build by changing skin
The following steps will show you how to change Skin and uninstall build from Kodi app. Please note that the steps could be different depending on what Skins the build is using.
Step 1: Launch the Kodi app on your device.
Step 2: Hover to Xenon Plus which is Chef Wizard from Diggz Xenon build. This could be different name depending on your build.
Step 3: Click on the Interface, UI or other related option at the left sidebar.
Step 4: In the Skin section of left panel, click on the Skin option from the right-side pane.
Step 5: Select Estuary or Estouchy for touchscreens from the list of Skin options.
Step 6: Click on the Yes button to save the changes.
Step 7: Go back to the Kodi Home Screen.
Step 8: Select the Add-ons option from the left sidebar.
Step 9: Click the Program add-ons from the list of Add-ons to display the list of add-ons including Build.
Step 10: Hover to the Build Wizard you are using such as The Chef Wizard at the right pane.
Step 11: Right-click from the PC or touch and hold on Touch Device or press and hold select button on Smart TV.
Step 12: Select the Information option from the context menu.
Step 13: Click on the Uninstall button from the bottom menu.
Step 14: Click on the Yes button to confirm for uninstallation.
