Introduction
Microsoft is in the final phase of ending support for the Microsoft Entra single sign-on (SSO) plug-ins for Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center and Atlassian Confluence Server and Data Center. Support began winding down on May 1, 2026, and will end completely on July 31, 2026. Organizations still using these plug-ins should complete their migration plans before the retirement date. This change aligns with Atlassian’s multi-year transition away from certain Data Center products and enables Microsoft to focus on modern, cloud-based integration patterns that provide improved security and long-term reliability.
After the retirement date, the plug-ins will continue to function; however, Microsoft will no longer provide updates, bug fixes, security fixes, or technical support.
When this will happen
Support for the Microsoft Entra SSO plug-ins will end on July 31, 2026.
