[Solved] How to Fix Xbox One Connectivity or Account Issue (0x80a40008)

Xbox One users reported 0x80a40008 error code prompt when trying to sign in to Xbox Profile or when trying to recover a profile on the Xbox console causing deny access to the Xbox account. Solution 1: Reset password then login again

Make sure you enter the valid Microsoft account credential (email and password) to sign in Xbox One. Reset your password then sign in again if you are not sure.

Solution 2: Check Xbox Live Services Status

Step 1: Open the browser and visit the official Xbox Live Status page.

Step 2: Verify whether any of the services are currently unavailable.

Step 3: If an exclamation point show next to certain services, then wait a while before trying to sign in again or use Xbox One Offline mode to access the game media library.

Solution 3: Check Network Connection

Step 1: Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the guide menu.

Step 2: Select the gear icon to access the All settings menu.

Step 3: Select the Network tab then access the Network Settings menu.

Step 4: Go to the Troubleshooting tab and access the Test network connection menu.
