Problem Symptom

When attempting to install Windows 11 on ESX for example vSphere 6.7, error “This PC can’t run Windows 11” will show and prevent to proceed the installation. “This PC can’t run Windows 11” error probably caused by the installation environment not fulfill the RAM, CPU, or storage requirements especially TPM 2.0 chip. You can either bypass TPM 2.0 requirement or install a virtual TPM 2 chip.

Solved: How do I fix "This PC Can’t Run Windows 11" on ESX?

Follow the below solution steps to bypass TPM 2.0 requirement for Windows 11 to fix “This PC can’t run Windows 11” error.

Step 1: Press SHIFT+F10 (or Fn+Shift+F10 on a mac) to open a command window.

Step 2: Type regedit and press the Enter key to open the registry editor.

Step 3: Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > Setup

Step 4: Create a NEW KEY called LabConfig.

Step 6: Name the new key called ByPassTPMCheck and assign a value of 1.
