Problem Symptom: When search in Sent and Deleted folder, Outlook search show no results. This problem can happen if the folder or drive in Outlook profile is being blocked or prevented access by Spotlight.

Follow the below solution steps to resolve Outlook search show no results issue.

Step 1: Close the Outlook program.

Step 2: Open the Finder.

Step 3: Click on the Go > Go to folder option in the menu.

Step 4: Paste the following path: ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/Main Profile/Data

Step 5: Locate the file called Outlook.sqlite and MOVE it to another location.

Step 6: Open the Outlook program.

Step 7: An error message “Something’s wrong with the Outlook database. Please repair it to fix the problem.” is display, click on the Repair button.

Step 8: Outlook will start to fix the database and it may take a while.

Step 9: Once the database fixed, Outlook will open.

Step 10: Open the Terminal and execute below commands:

sudo mdutil -a -i off
sudo mdutil -a -i on
