[Solved] How to Fix OnePlus 6T Keeps Restarting Very Often

OnePlus 6T has the common technical issue keeps restarting very often due to missing software module, app updates corrupted or accumulated cache. Apply below methods to fix these minor issues.

Solution 1: Soft Reset OnePlus 6T

While performing a soft reset, OnePlus 6T will restart thereby all the applications running on the background will be closed and will clear any data in RAM.

Step 1: Press and Hold Power button for a few seconds.

Step 2: You will see the screen with the option to power off, choose Power Off and your device will turn off.

Step 3: Now press and hold the Power button.

Step 4: You can release when the phone screen is on.

Solution 2: Boot OnePlus 6T into Safe mode

In safe mode, all the third-party apps temporarily disable and will load only the core services. If OnePlus 6T turns on successfully into safe mode and working normally, then we can conclude it is a third party app issue. So try to uninstall newly installed apps.

Step 1: Power off the device.

Step 2: Press and hold the Power button.

Step 3: When you see the Realme logo, release the Power button, press and hold Volume Down button.

Step 4: Release the button when you see safe mode on the bottom left corner.

Solution 3: Wipe Cache Partition on OnePlus 6T

Step 1: Switch off the device.

Step 2: Press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button together.

Step 3: Release the Power button when the OnePlus logo appears and continue holding the Volume Down button.

Step 4: Enter PIN or Password to unlock the device at the password screen, click Ok when done.

Step 5: Tap EnglishWipe Data and Cache > Wipe Cache.

Step 6: Click Yes to continue.

Step 7: Tap on Reboot to restart the phone.

Solution 4: Perform Hard Reset

Step 1: Before starting to perform a hard reset, please make sure below:

  • Needs original data cable.
  • Backup all mobile data.
  • Required an 80% charge on the mobile phone.
  • Remove Gmail ID from OnePlus 6T.
  • Requires USB driver if reset OnePlus 6T with PC.

Step 2: Remove the SIM card and SD card from OnePlus 6T.

Step 3: Turn off OnePlus 6T by pressing the Power button.

Step 4: Press on Volume Down and Power Button together

Step 5: When the OnePlus logo appears on the display, release all buttons.

Step 6: Enter PIN or password at the password screen to unlock, click on OK when done.

Step 7: Tap English > Wipe Data and cacheReset everything > This can be undone, Continue?

Step 8: Tap on Reboot to restart your phone.

Solution 5: Perform Factory Reset

Step 1: Before starting to perform a factory reset, please make sure below:

  • Needs original data cable.
  • Backup all mobile data.
  • Required an 80% charge on the mobile phone.
  • Remove Gmail ID from OnePlus 6T.
  • Requires USB driver if reset OnePlus 6T with PC.

Step 2: Remove the SIM card and SD card from the mobile phone before the start.

Step 3: Turn on OnePlus 6T.

Step 4: Visit Settings > Backup and reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Phone > Erase everything.

Solution 6: Update Software

Step 1: Go to Settings App > System menu > System Update.

Step 2: Tap on Check for Updates to see new updates.
