How to move the Start Button and Taskbar Icons align to left in Windows 11?

In Windows 11, the default position of the Start button and other taskbar icons has been aligned to the center of the screen instead of the left as in the previous version of Windows. Furthermore, the Start menu and search menu open at the center of the screen.

Step 1: Press Windows + i key on the keyboard to open the Settings app. Alternatively, you can click the Start menu and select the Settings gear icon located at the top of the menu by default.

Additional Tips regarding Start menu and taskbar in Windows 11

  • If you like to change back the center alignment for taskbar icons, open the Settings app and navigate to Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors, then set Taskbar Alignment to Center.
  • Press Windows + S key to open the search pane and start searching.
