Solution 1: Restore advanced settings for Internet Properties
Step 1: Press Windows key + R to open a Run box.
Step 2: Type inetcpl.cpl
and press Enter to open the Internet Properties. Click Yes to grant admin access in case the UAC (User Account Control) prompted.
Step 3: Select the Advanced tab.
Step 4: Click on Restore advanced settings button and confirm it.
Step 5: Click the Apply button to save the changes.
Step 6: Restart your computer.
Solution 2: Prevent the browser from saving encrypted pages
Step 1: Press Windows key + R to open a Run box.
Step 2: Type inetcpl.cpl
and press Enter to open the Internet Properties. Click Yes to grant admin access in case the UAC (User Account Control) prompted.
Step 3: Select the Advanced tab.
Step 4: Go to the Settings menu.
Step 5: Scroll down through the list of settings and check Do not save encrypted pages to disk under the Security section.
Step 6: Click the Apply button to save the change.
Step 7: Restart your computer.
Solution 3: Enable Loopback in Microsoft Edge
Step 1: Press Windows key + R to open a Run box.
Step 2: Type cmd
and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open an elevated CMD prompt. Click Yes to grant administrative privileges if User Account Control (UAC) prompted.
Step 3: To add the loopback exemption, type the following command and press Enter: CheckNetIsolation LoopbackExempt -a -n="Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe"
Note: For Window versions prior Windows 10, use this command instead: CheckNetIsolation LoopbackExempt -a -n=Microsoft.Windows.Spartan_cw5n1h2txyewy
Step 4: Restart your computer.
Solution 4: Restore Explorer 11 to clean state
Step 1: Press Windows key + R to open a Run box.
Step 2: Type appwiz.cpl
and press Enter to open the Programs and Features menu.
Step 3: Click on the Turn Windows features on or off from the left side menu.
Step 4: Scroll down through the list of Windows Feature and uncheck Internet Explorer 11.
Step 5: Click Yes to disable Internet Explorer.
Step 6: Restart your computer.
Step 7: Repeat the above steps to check Internet Explorer 11 in Windows Feature.
Step 8: Restart your computer.
Solution 5: Repair or Reset Microsoft Edge
Step 1: Press Windows key + R to open a Run box.
Step 2: Type ms-settings:appsfeatures
and press Enter to open the Apps & Features menu of the Settings app.
Step 3: Search for Microsoft Edge.
Step 4: Click on the Advanced Options hyperlink.
Step 5: Scroll down to the Reset section and click on the Repair button. Confirm your choice, then wait for the operation to complete.
Step 6: Restart your computer.
Note: If the problem remains, you can repeat the above steps but click on the Reset button instead.
