When we open a website to read an article, a cookie consent notification popup to seek your permission to track us and promises to use the cookies to optimize the browsing experience, after accepting the cookies, the same notification popup keeps appearing again on every new website we visit. Step 1: Open the Google Chrome browser.
Step 2: Click on the three dots located in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
Step 3: Click on the Settings option.
Step 4: Click on the Privacy and security option on the left sidebar.
Step 5: Click on the Cookies and other site data option.
Step 6: Select the radio button for the Block all cookies (not recommended) option.
Step 1: Open the Microsoft Edge browser.
Step 2: Click on the three dots located in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
Step 3: Click on the Settings option.
Step 4: Click on the Cookies and site permissions option on the left sidebar.
Step 5: Click on the Manage and delete cookies and site data option.
Step 6: Toggle off the Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended) option.
Step 1: Open the Mozilla Firefox browser.
Step 2: Click on the three dots located in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
Step 3: Click on the Settings option.
Step 4: Click on the Privacy and Security option on the left sidebar.
Step 5: Select the radio button for the Strict option under the Enhanced Tracking Protection section.
Step 1: Open Safari on the macOS.
Step 2: Click o the Safari on the menu bar.
Step 3: Click on the Preferences option from the context menu.
Step 4: Click on the Privacy option.
Step 5: Select the Block all cookies checkbox for Cookies and website data option.
Step 6: Click on the Block All button in the confirmation popup.
Step 1: Go to Settings > Safari > Privacy & Security > Block Cookies
Step 2: Tap on the Always Block option.
Solution 6: Use privacy-first browser
Try to install and use privacy-first browser like Tor, Brave, or DuckDuckGo which follow the most strict protocols that prioritize the user’s privacy and do not track the user’s activity on any website.
Browser extensions are completely safe as long as you download them from the official extension store.
Step 1: Open the Google Chrome browser.
Step 2: Go to Chrome Web Store.
Step 3: Search for cookie blocking-related extensions such as Consent-O-Matic (Chrome | Mozilla | Safari), Consent Manager (Chrome | Mozilla), and I Don’t Care About Cookies (Chrome | Mozilla).
Step 4: Click on the Add to Chrome button.
Step 5: Click on the Add Extension button in the confirmation popup.
