Microsoft Message

Business Central is being updated to support the 2026 time zone changes in Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia. This is a general awareness message to support the changes and complements MC1510951 — Windows updates are available for 2026 time zone changes in Canada.

Rollout schedule

The update is rolling out to Business Central online starting October 26, 2026, and is expected to complete by October 29, 2026. The new time zones will be available to all users in Canada by October 27, 2026.

The update covers all supported online versions. Customers do not need to install an update or change their deployments. Affected users will need to select the appropriate new region-specific time zone.

How does this affect me?

After the November 1, 2026, transition, affected users may see incorrect local times in Business Central if their time zone settings have not been updated.

The updates add the following region-specific time zones:

  • (UTC-05:00) Manitoba
  • (UTC-06:00) Mountain Time (Alberta)
  • (UTC-07:00) Pacific Time (British Columbia)

What action do I need to take?

When the new time zones become available in Business Central, affected users should select the appropriate new region-specific time zone for their location.
