Apps in Copilot Cowork are now available through the Frontier program, and Apps in Microsoft Copilot Studio are rolling out in public preview.To provide a unified experience for building apps with natural language, Microsoft is retiring the App Builder agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot and vibe.powerapps.com.
Copilot Cowork and Microsoft Copilot Studio will become the primary experiences for creating apps using natural language. This retirement helps consolidate app creation experiences and provides makers with a consistent path forward for building and managing apps.

- Early October 2026 Public preview rollout of Apps in Microsoft Copilot Studio begins
- Mid-October 2026 In-product migration becomes available. Creation of new apps in App Builder agent and vibe.powerapps.com is no longer supported.
- November 30, 2026 App Builder agent and vibe.powerapps.com are retired.

- Apps that are not successfully migrated before November 30, 2026, will no longer be accessible through these retired experiences.
- Makers should build new apps in Copilot Cowork or Microsoft Copilot Studio.
