Summary

  • Microsoft Teams is retiring the calendar sync capability with Google Workspace, so Teams and Google Calendar/Workspace calendars will no longer stay synchronized.

  • Administrators will lose access to calendar sync setup in the Teams Admin app, and any previously paired calendars will stop syncing.
  • Microsoft recommends the Teams Meeting add-on for Google Workspace for users who still need to schedule Teams meetings from Google Calendar.
  • Admins should notify affected users and retain any account-matching information before the retirement takes effect.

Microsoft is retiring calendar syncing between Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace in October 2026, ending support for this feature. Organizations should notify users, save account matching data, and use the Microsoft Teams Meeting add-on for Google Workspace for meeting scheduling instead.
