Is the frustrating Windows 11 upgrade block finally over for your PC?

Ready for an effortless Windows 11 upgrade now that the Media Creation Tool is fixed?

Microsoft has fixed the Media Creation Tool (MCT). You can now use it on Windows 10 again. For a while, the tool was broken. This stopped people from upgrading to Windows 11. The problem is now solved.

A new version of the tool is available. It lets you get the latest Windows 11, which is version 25H2 Build 26200.6899. If you have an older Windows 11, you can use the tool to get the newest update. This means your computer will be fresh and up-to-date.

How to Upgrade to Windows 11

You have a few ways to move from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

  1. Windows Update: Your computer might tell you it’s time to upgrade. This is an easy way, but it can sometimes be slow or show errors.
  2. Installation Assistant: This tool is often the simplest way to upgrade. It guides you through the process.
  3. Media Creation Tool (MCT): This tool gives you more control. You can use it to do a clean install or create a backup.

Why Use the Media Creation Tool?

The Media Creation Tool is for you if you want to do more than just a simple upgrade.

  • Start Fresh: You can use it to do a “clean install.” This means it will remove your old apps and files. Your computer will be like new. Your old files are saved in a folder called “Windows.old” if you need them.
  • Keep Your Files: You can also choose an “in-place upgrade.” This option keeps all your personal files, apps, and settings.
  • Make a Backup: The tool lets you download a clean copy of Windows. You can save this file or put it on a USB drive. This is helpful if you need to fix your computer later.

The updated Media Creation Tool also works on Arm64 computers. Before, you could not use it on these types of PCs. Now, you can create a bootable USB drive for Arm64 devices.
