Is the Dangerous Freese Group Phishing Attack Targeting Your Inbox Right Now?

Why Are Fake Freese Group Emails So Risky for Your Microsoft Password?

You need to be very careful right now. Bad people broke into the computers at the Freese Group. This is a company in Germany that sells BMW and Mini cars. Since the middle of November 2025, these bad people have been sending fake emails.

These emails look like they come from real workers at the car dealer. But they are a trap.

How the Trap Works

A smart helper looked at these emails for us. Here is what they found:

  • The email looks real: It comes from a real Freese Group email address.
  • It asks for money: The email says you have an invoice or a bill to pay.
  • It steals your secret codes: If you click the link for the bill, it takes you to a bad website. This website asks for your Microsoft password. Do not give it to them.

Why This is Bad

The car dealer knows about the problem. When our helper called them, they said they had been hacked. But they also said, “There is nothing we can do now.”

This is not safe for you because:

  • No Warning: The company did not put a warning on their website.
  • Others are hit: Small businesses nearby are getting these emails too.
  • People are clicking: Some workers at other businesses clicked the link by mistake.

What You Must Do

Please follow these steps to keep your computer safe:

  1. Stop: Do not open emails from Freese Group right now unless you are sure.
  2. Don’t Click: Never click on a blue link that asks for your password.
  3. Check: If you get a bill, call the car dealer on the phone to ask if it is real.
  4. Change Passwords: If you clicked a link, change your Microsoft password immediately.

The company should tell everyone about this to follow the rules. Until they do, you must protect yourself.
