Are You Making a Terrible Mistake by Ignoring the Latest Intel Driver? Why This Critical Update is a Lifesaver for Windows 11 25H2 Performance.
Intel has new updates for your computer’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. These new drivers are made to work perfectly with the new Windows 11 25H2 update. Installing them helps your computer run smoothly without issues.
Think of the Windows 11 25H2 update as a small change. If you already have version 24H2, your computer only needs a tiny file to switch to the new 25H2 version. Even though the Windows update is small, your computer’s parts, like the Wi-Fi card from Intel, still need drivers that are tested for it. This testing ensures everything works well together, especially if you are moving from an older system like Windows 10 or Windows 11 23H2.
What Do the New Drivers Do for You?
Intel confirmed that its new Wi-Fi driver, version 23.170.0, is ready for Windows 11 25H2. The main benefit you might see is with your Wi-Fi connection.
After installing the new driver, your computer may connect to Wi-Fi networks about 4–6% faster. This is because Intel has been working on improving how quickly your system detects available Wi-Fi signals. The update also includes other security and performance fixes that help your computer stay stable and secure.
To get these new drivers, you can use the Intel Driver & Support Assistant tool on your computer. It will find the right updates for you.
Which Computers Can Get This Update?
These new drivers are for computers with specific Intel wireless adapters. You can get the update if your computer has one of the following:
- Wi-Fi 7: BE202, BE201, BE200
- Wi-Fi 6E: AX411, AX211, AX210
- Wi-Fi 6: AX203, AX201, AX200, AX101
- Wireless-AC (Wi-Fi 5): 9560, 9461/9462, 9260
Information for Windows 10 Users
If you are still using Windows 10, Intel continues to support it. The October 2025 drivers for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and graphics work for Windows 10 as well.
A new feature called “Shared GPU Memory Override” is also available for some Windows 10 users. This setting lets you decide how much of your computer’s memory (RAM) is used by your Intel Arc graphics card. Normally, this is automatic. But with this feature, you can set a limit. This option is available on newer computers with Intel Core Ultra processors.
