Visions of Mana offers an exciting ability crafting system that lets you enhance your characters with unique passive bonuses and skills. To take advantage of this feature, you’ll need to collect Corestones during your journey.
Here’s a simple guide to help you master ability crafting:
- Progress to Chapter 4: The ability crafting function becomes available in Chapter 4 of your pilgrimage to the Mana Tree.
- Visit the Item Exchange Parlor: Head to Illystana and locate the Item Exchange Parlor. This is where you can exchange your hard-earned Corestones for Ability Seeds.
- Exchange Corestones for Ability Seeds: Talk to the vendor and select “Ability Seed Exchange.” Each Corestone corresponds to a specific Ability Seed, which can grant characters new passive bonuses or skills they wouldn’t normally learn.
- Equip Ability Seeds: Once you have the desired Ability Seed, simply equip it onto any character to gain the associated bonus or skill.
- Explore other vendors: After unlocking ability crafting, various vendors throughout the game world will offer the Ability Seed Exchange option, making it convenient to exchange Corestones as you progress.
To obtain Corestones, defeat enemies and bosses. While Corestones are rare drops from regular enemies, bosses always drop their unique Corestone upon defeat, which often provides rare or exclusive abilities. Keep in mind that you can only obtain one Boss Corestone per playthrough, so exchange them promptly.
Although there’s no surefire way to increase the drop rates of specific Corestones, they’re relatively common. If you’re targeting a particular Corestone, simply farm the corresponding enemy until you acquire it.
By following these steps and collecting Corestones diligently, you’ll be able to craft a wide array of powerful abilities to strengthen your characters and overcome challenges in Visions of Mana.
