How to fix Unauthorized Error after Login by IAM user

This article describes what to check if getting Unauthorized error after login from newly migrated IAM user.

Solution

Sub users who have been migrated to IAM user, might encounter issue of getting Unauthorized error while Login to the portal.

The detail error message as below:

UNAUTHORIZED
You are not currently authorized to access this portal. Select a different portal or log out.

This error can appear:

Sub users who have been migrated to IAM user, might encounter issue of getting Unauthorized error while Login to the portal.

If it is happening:

Check if the Permission Profile is assigned: The admin who is creating the IAM user can check which permission profile is attached to the user. The issue might be there if using the default profile which is the SysAdmin profile.

Creating a new permission profile and attaching it to the user can help fix the issue.

Check if the Permissions are assigned: Verify the permissions in the profile, and make sure all the needed permissions are checked.
