How to fix newly register License for FortiIsolator shows ‘Invalid Copy’

This Article explains what workaround to do if encountering the issue of ‘Invalid Copy’ while uploading a new license for registration

Scope

FortiIsolator.

Solution

While registering a new license on FortiIsolator, there might be an issue of ‘Invalid Copy’.

While registering a new license on FortiIsolator, there might be an issue of 'Invalid Copy'.

This issue can be resolved by using one of the below Workaround:

  • Try to restart the VM and apply for the License again. It might clear out the cache and uploading the license copy will work.
  • Upon updating the license IP and redeployment, allow a few hours for the FortiCloud system to update.

Retry to download and apply the license 3~5 hours later and see if the license can be applied.

If the above workarounds do not work, contact Fortinet Support and provide all relevant info in the ticket.
