This article describes the case the Forward Traffic filter is set with any filter and loading slow data.
Scope
FortiGate.
Solution
In case the Forward Traffic filter is loading slowly with filters applied, follow the below steps to troubleshoot:
- Verify the behavior is happening with different browsers as well.
- If the issue is happening with a different browser, try to use a different log source in the GUI.
- This could be possible due to the large number of logs, make sure the log size does not exceed any set Quota.
- Also, verify that CPU and Memory utilization is normal on the Firewall along with FortiAnalyzer or FortiManager.
- In case there is no log set against the Filter, it will search for some time and reset the query, as no data is preset to load against the filter.
- In case the issue is not resolved, through initial troubleshooting it is also possible to collect below logs, to share with the TAC team:
diag test app fgtlog 1 diag test app fgtlog 4 diag test app fgtlog 6 diag test app fgtlog 9 diag test app fgtlog 41 diag debug app fgtlog -1 diag debug app miglogd 0x1000 diag debug app miglogd -1
Add
diag test app syslogd 1/4/6/9.
