This article describes why the option for Deception, Incident, and Fabric in the navigation pane is missing after upgrading firmware to v5.3.1 for FortiDeceptor-100G.

Solution
FortiDeceptor-100G model requires either FortiDeceptor-as-a-Service (DaaS) or an on-prem FortiDeceptor appliance with central management. It does not operate as a standalone.
Before firmware v5.3.1, FortiDeceptor-100G still showed options for Deception, Incident, and Fabric in the navigation pane.
After the firmware upgrade to v5.3.1, this option is missing in the navigation pane. This is because when FortiDeceptor is managed as a Remote Client, the navigation pane only displays the Dashboard, Network, System, and Log.
In firmware v5.3.1, it solved the issue where FortiDeceptor-100G can run in a standalone mode. That is why after the firmware upgrade to v5.3.1 the options for Deception, Incident, and Fabric in the navigation pane are missing for FortiDeceptor-100G.
