How to fix FortiCloud Subscription not reflecting right after registration of contract

This article describes the issue when a customer purchased a predefined contract (the order was placed with the start and end date) and completed the registration of the license on a device via the support.fortinet.com page but the latest Expiration will not reflect immediately on FortiGate GUI License information page.

The customer will see the old expiration date or ‘Not Licensed’ status (if the device does not have a license initially).

Solution

To verify the actual Activation Date and Expiration Date:

Step 1: Go to https://support.fortinet.com/

Step 2: From Asset Management, search for the serial number of the device.

Step 3: Select the serial number of the product to view the Entitlement.
Select the serial number of the product to view the Entitlement.The device will reflect the correct Expiration Date on the Activation Date. If the customer wants to move the Activation date, the contract must be canceled through the customer’s respective Sales Representative and rebooked with the correct dates.
