How to check if ‘webcaching’ is available

This article describes why the webcache feature is not available on some models.

Scope

FortiGate x0 models.

Solution

When prompted to enable webcaching on a policy, check first if the FortiGate has a disk.

This is easily noted by the model number.

If it ends in 1, for example, FortiGate 1801F, then it has a disk. A FortiGate 1800F does not have a disk.

It will either be a disk toggle or require dual disks. This is dependent on the model.
