Steps to Change the Language in NVIDIA Control Panel

  1. First, make sure the NVIDIA Control Panel is closed.
  2. Click on the search bar at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Type regedit or Registry Editor and press Enter.
  4. A security pop-up will appear; click “Yes” to proceed.
  5. In the Registry Editor, find HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Click the arrow next to it to expand.
  6. Scroll down to Software and expand it.
  7. Locate NVIDIA Corporation, then expand NVControlPanel2.
  8. Click on Client.
  9. On the right-hand side, right-click on an empty space.
  10. Hover over New and select DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  11. Name it exactly as follows: UserDefinedLocale (case-sensitive).
  12. Visit a language ID reference list online (a quick search will help).
  13. Find your desired language (e.g., German). Look for its three-digit Language ID in the third column.
  14. Double-click on UserDefinedLocale.
  15. In the Value Data field, paste the three-digit Language ID you copied earlier. For example, German is 407.
  16. Click “OK” to save changes.
  17. Close out of Registry Editor and reopen NVIDIA Control Panel. The interface should now display in your selected language.
