Solution 1: Create a New Squad, Delete the Old One
- Sign out of FUT (PS5/PC/Xbox).
- Just wait. About 16 minutes or so.
- Log back in using the EA FC Web app.
- In the “Club” tab, make a new squad. Activate your new squad by selectin it and then clicking on “Set Active“. Now delete the old squad.
- Log out again. Then, after waiting another 16 minutes, log back in on your PS5, launch the game. See if the error’s gone.
Solution 2: Remove External Devices
Got a USB drive plugged into your PS5? Unplug it. Same goes for any other dongles or adapters. Even your controller, if it’s wired, switch to a wireless one. Sometimes those things mess with the system.
Solution 3: Turn HDCP Off and On
- Head to “Settings“.
- Click on “System“.
- Find the “HDMI” tab.
- Turn off Enable HDCP. Does the error go away?
- If not, turn on Enable HDCP again.
Play around with it. You’d be surprised what a difference a setting tweak makes.
Solution 4: Change Console Language
- Open your PS5 Settings.
- Navigate to System.
- Go to the Language section, then try changing it to English or any other language to fix the issue.
Lot of people say it helps. Set it to English or anything else, and see if the problem clears up. It’s quick and doesn’t hurt to try.
Solution 5: Restart PS5
- Press and hold Power button on the console and select Power off.
- Unplug all the cables.
- Wait for few seconds and press the Power button again. It will remove any reaming power and will clear your system cache. Wait for 15 – 20 minutes.
- Then plug everything back in and power up. Sometimes, it just needs a clean restart.
Solution 6: Switch Internet Connection
If you’re on Wi-Fi, try switching to mobile data (hotspot). If you’re already on a hotspot, try connecting to Wi-Fi. You can even switch to a different Wi-Fi network if possible. Network issues often cause the game to freak out.
Solution 7: Logout and Back In
- Log out of your PlayStation Network account. Go to “Settings,” “Users and Accounts,” and then “Other.” Click “Sign Out.”
- Wait a few minutes. Then log back in.
- If you’ve got a secondary account, try that one, too.
Solution 8: Rebuild PS5 Database
- Turn off the PS5, but don’t unplug it.
- Hold the power button until you hear two beeps. Now, your PS5 is in Safe Mode.
- Connect your controller with a USB cable, press the PS button.
- Use the D-pad to scroll down to “Clear Cache and Rebuild Database.”
- Then select “Rebuild Database” and hit “OK.”
- This fixes a lot of hidden system errors.
Solution 9: Update System Software on PS5
Check if your system software is up to date. Go to “Settings,” then “System Software.” If there’s an update, install it. Sometimes the game just needs everything running on the latest version.
Solution 10: Change DNS Server Settings
- Open PlayStation Settings and navigate to Network > Set Up Internet Connection.
- Choose your internet type and select your internet connection when prompted.
- Then select Custom and choose Automatic option for the IP address.
- Choose Do Not Specify for DHCP Host Name, in te DNS Settings choose Manual and enter the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and Secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4.
- For the Proxy Server choose Do Not Use. Check if it solves the problem or not.
Solution 11: Delete Game Data and Cache
Note: Make sure to backup the saved data to prevent unexpected game progress loss.
- Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings.
- Select Saved Data (PS5) and navigate to Console Storage > Delete.
- Choose EA SPORTS FC 25, then select Delete > OK.
- Restart your console and try again.
Solution 12: Reinstall or Transfer to SSD
Using an SSD? If so, try reinstalling or moving EA Sports FC 25 there. Some people have better luck when the game is on the SSD. If that helps, great. If not, go on to the last step.
Solution 13: Contact PlayStation or EA Support
If nothing else works, it’s time to call in the pros. PlayStation Support or EA Support can guide you through the last steps. They’ll know exactly what’s up.
