Saving Instagram videos to your phone’s gallery is simple and practical. Here’s how you can do it step by step.
Table of Contents
Option 1: Automatically Save Your Own Content
- Open Instagram and swipe right from the homepage to access the camera.
- Tap the gear (settings) icon in the top-right corner.
- Under Camera Settings, find the Save to Camera Roll option.
- Turn this on to save all photos and videos you create in Stories directly to your gallery.
- For Reels, enable Save Reels to Device when publishing. This ensures your Reels are stored automatically.
Option 2: Download Videos from Reels
- Locate the Reel you want to save—this can be your own or someone else’s (if allowed).
- Tap the paper airplane icon (Share button) on the right side of the Reel.
- From the menu at the bottom, scroll until you see Download. If this option isn’t visible, it means the creator has disabled downloads for that Reel.
- Tap Download. The video will save directly to your gallery.
Key Notes
- Not all videos can be downloaded if creators restrict this feature.
- For third-party content, respect copyright and usage rights.
By following these steps, you’ll have a copy of your favorite Instagram videos saved on your phone for easy access later.
