In “Secrets of Grindea,” pets are valuable companions, offering stat boosts without engaging in combat directly. To obtain them, players have two primary methods: using lures or completing quests.
Certain pets like the Green Slime, Rabby, Jumpkin, Mrs. Bee, and Living Veggies can be attracted using specific items like the Juicy Apple, Golden Carrot, Candy Cane, Nectar Flower, and Fresh Water, respectively.
Players can also acquire the Chicken through the “Pet Detective” quest and the Wisp as an optional reward from the “Phase-Off” quest completed within 90 seconds. To capture a pet, players engage in a DDR-inspired minigame, successfully completing it results in the pet joining the player’s party. Players can switch between pets at the farm, a designated area for pet management.
Pets serve as companions that follow the player character, offering small stat boosts depending on their level. Players can bring only one pet at a time but can switch between pets as needed. To enhance pets, players can level them up by feeding them various items collected during their adventures.
Additionally, pets can be customized by changing their appearance through the “Pet Style” option. Overall, while pets do not actively participate in battles, they provide passive benefits to the player’s character, adding to their overall strength and capabilities.
