OpenAI released a new feature called “Canvas,” which offers a shared, editable page where ChatGPT can mimic a human collaborator and repeatedly edit or provide feedback on specific parts of text and code.

Note: The Canvas feature is available to ChatGPT Plus and Team users. Enterprise and Edu users will get access this week, with plans to extend it to Free users after beta.

  1. Go to ChatGPT and click on the model name in the top-left corner.
  2. Select “GPT-4 with Canvas.”
  3. Ask for a brief write-up on any topic.
  4. Go to the magic pencil icon in the bottom right corner and select ‘Suggest Edits.’ ChatGPT will offer inline suggestions and feedback that you can apply with a single click.   5. You can also select the other options to edit the text as you prefer:
    • Add emojis: Adds relevant emojis for emphasis and color.
    • Add final polish: Checks for grammar, clarity, and consistency.
    • Change reading level: Adjusts the reading level, from Kindergarten to Graduate School.
    • Adjust the length: Edits the document length to be shorter or longer.

You can also select the other options to edit the text as you prefer.
