Can You Still Drop Money Bags for Friends in GTA Online?

I know how frustrating it can be when you’re trying to help out a friend or give back to the community, only to find out that the option to drop and give money is no longer available. Trust me, I’ve been there too.

Let’s break it down: back in the day, after completing a mission, you could easily open up the “Interaction Menu,” head over to “Inventory,” and select “Cash” to drop money bags for other players. It was a simple way to lend a helping hand or show some kindness to random strangers. But unfortunately, Rockstar Games decided to remove this feature entirely in 2020.

Can You Still Drop Money Bags for Friends in GTA Online?

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Why would they do that?” Well, the most likely reason is to prevent cheats and exploits. It’s a bummer, I know, but don’t lose hope just yet!

There are still plenty of ways to help out friendly players and help them earn some extra cash:

  1. When playing Heist missions, make sure to give them the biggest cut during the planning phase.
  2. If they have a Business or Motorcycle Club, offer to protect and help them complete various organization jobs.
  3. As a Crew member, defending your boss will earn you a daily cash bonus, so keep that in mind.
  4. During public events, other players might disregard the objectives, so try completing them discreetly to claim the rewards for yourselves.

And while you can’t directly drop money, you can still share some essential items through the “Interaction Menu”:

  • Snacks and Ammos can be dropped to help friends in need and save them some expenses.
  • MC Enforcers and CEOs can drop Body Armor for $1,000 and $1,500, respectively.

I know it’s not the same as being able to drop those sweet, sweet money bags, but these small gestures can still make a big difference for players who are just starting out.

At the end of the day, accumulating cash in GTA Online takes time, especially if you’re going solo. That’s why it’s always better to team up with some powerful friends who have your back. And once you’ve got some serious cash to burn, don’t forget to check out the fastest cars in the game and treat yourself to a sweet ride!
