Are Your Favorite Photos Disappointing? How Can You Instantly Fix Them With Google’s New AI Tools?

Ready for Effortless, Flawless Photos? Why Is Everyone Talking About Google’s New AI Editing Features?

Google Photos is adding new tools that use smart technology, known as Artificial Intelligence (AI), to help you edit and organize your pictures. These features make changing your photos simple and powerful.

Fix and Restyle with “Help Me Edit”

A new feature called “Help Me Edit” can transform your photos for you. It is powered by a special AI model from Google named Nano Banana. You can use it to apply creative styles. For example, ask it to make your picture look like a classic Renaissance painting or a colorful tile mosaic.

This tool also fixes common picture mistakes. If a person in your photo has closed eyes or forgot to smile, you can instruct the AI to correct it. You can even remove unwanted objects, like a pair of sunglasses. To use it, simply tap the “Help me edit” button and type your request, such as “open my eyes and make me smile.”

Edit Using Your Voice or Text

You can now edit photos by speaking or typing your instructions. This hands-free editing feature, which first appeared on Android devices in August 2025, is now available for iOS users in the United States. Along with this, the redesigned photo editor is also coming to iOS. This new editor design lets you adjust images using simple gestures, one-tap suggestions, and plain English commands.

Create Images with AI Templates

Inside the Photos app, a new “Create with AI” section is located under the “Create” tab. This area offers pre-made AI templates for popular edits. You can use these to quickly generate new images without needing to type anything.

  • The templates are powered by the Nano Banana AI.
  • This feature is rolling out to Android users in the U.S. and India.
  • Google plans to add personalized templates based on your past edits in the coming weeks.

Find Photos by Asking Questions

The “Ask Photos” tool helps you search your photo gallery just by asking for what you want. You could ask it to “show me all my pictures from the beach last summer.” This feature has expanded and is now available in over 100 countries and supports 17 additional languages. When viewing an image, you can also tap an “Ask” button to get information about the photo’s content or find related moments in your gallery.
