Apple has released iOS 8.1.2 as an over-the-air software update both as OTA and direct download via iTunes for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users running iOS 8. iOS 8.1.2 contains bug fixes for users as well as a fix for a problem regarding ringtones purchased from Apple being removed from devices. Users who subject to the reported issues involving ringtones purchased through iTunes can go to itunes.com/restore-tones to recover those purchases ringtones.
iOS 8.1.2 update release is available for all devices running iOS 8 including:
- iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus
- iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3
- iPod touch, fifth-generation
In order to download iOS 8.1.2 update, go to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and follow the on-screen instructions.
