Amazon CloudWatch Container Insights adds console support for visualizing workload issues and problems via Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights problems

Amazon CloudWatch Container Insights enables customers to easily collect container metrics and analyze them along with other metrics in Amazon CloudWatch. Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights provides a simple setup of observability for your enterprise applications and underlying AWS Resources. Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights provides automated dashboards that show potential problems with monitored applications, which help you quickly isolate ongoing issues with your applications and infrastructure. The new service integration allows Amazon CloudWatch Container Insights customers to easily enable and visualize problems identified by Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights for Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) Clusters, ECS Services, ECS Tasks, and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service Clusters, all in one console.

To get started, open the Amazon CloudWatch Container Insights console. If you are new to Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights, select Auto-configure Application Insights. If CloudWatch Application Insights is already set up or once the auto set up is completed you’ll see a dashboard with any application or resource problems. If there is a problem, you can navigate through the problems to troubleshoot your container applications.

This service integration is available in all regions where both Amazon CloudWatch Container Insights and Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights are available. View the AWS Regions table for details.
